On the May 7, 2011, Brother II Brother and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., EMBODI Program hosted a spectacular event impacting boys, ages 11-19, via a powerful and productive "Day of Mentoring" sponsored by African Student Program at the University of California, Riverside.
The free event offered boys direct access to highly focused and accomplished men who devoted their day to impact the lives of youth for the positive.
The day long event consisted of candid dialogue and provided assistance on: fatherhood, drugs, gangs, guns, education, the law, real estate, entrepreneurship, employment, education, relationships, anger management, health, public speaking, incarceration, student athletes, depression and self esteem. Parent workshops involved: 1) Teen Depression and Suicide. And, 2) Choices of Men.
